BACK PAIN

Anatomy & Physiology:

The back consists of the cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal spine regions. Vertebrae are separated by intervertebral discs, and stabilized by ligaments and muscles such as the erector spinae and multifidus. The spinal cord and nerve roots run through the spinal canal and are sensitive to misalignment and inflammation.
